December 30, 2015

Westminster, Colo.Dec. 30, 2015 – Coalfire, a leader in cybersecurity risk management and compliance services, and The Denver Foundation, announced today the creation of the Richard E. Dakin fund honoring the late Richard E. “Rick” Dakin, who passed tragically in 2015.

This charitable fund will broadly support non-profit organizations that focus on cybersecurity education.

"Rick was one of the original founders of Coalfire and a visionary in cybersecurity, and it is with great pride and humility that this fund has been created in his honor,” said Larry Jones, CEO of Coalfire. “This fund will help further the industry by providing individuals with access to cybersecurity-focused educational resources."

"The Denver Foundation is privileged to be able to help the Coalfire community honor Rick Dakin and help with needs that extend beyond the immediate,” says David Miller, President of The Denver Foundation. “We will be honored to work with the Coalfire family to determine where contributed dollars will make the greatest difference.”

To donate to the Richard E. Dakin Fund, checks can be made payable to “The Denver Foundation: Richard E. Dakin Fund” and mailed to 55 Madison Street, 8th Floor, Denver, CO 80206.
