May 22, 2025

Chicago, IL — The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has appointed Adam Shnider, Executive Vice President of Assessment Services at Coalfire, to serve as a Representative Member of the Federal Secure Cloud Advisory Committee (FSCAC). His three-year term began May 15, 2025.

The FSCAC provides guidance to the GSA, the FedRAMP Board, and federal agencies on the secure adoption of cloud technologies. As an independent assessor, Shnider offers insights on streamlining FedRAMP processes, strengthening cloud security, and supporting broader government IT modernization.

“Adam’s appointment to the FSCAC is not just an honor for Coalfire, it’s a recognition of the critical role independent assessment providers play in shaping the future of secure cloud adoption in government,” said Tom McAndrew, CEO of Coalfire. “His insight into the operational realities of FedRAMP and his unwavering commitment to security assurance will help move the program, and the industry, forward.”

As a Representative Member, Shnider provides a trusted viewpoint from the independent assessment community. He supports the FSCAC’s mission to evaluate and improve FedRAMP processes, enhance cross-agency collaboration, and address key challenges in cloud security authorization and compliance.

“I’m honored to join the FSCAC and contribute to its mission of making federal cloud adoption more secure, scalable, and accessible,” said Adam Shnider. “Especially during this time of change with FedRAMP 20X, this committee provides an important forum for dialogue across the FedRAMP ecosystem, and I look forward to representing the interests of the community.”
