Coalfire Secures Strategic Investment and Sets Goal to Double Market Share by 2017

Will provide growth capital for expanded offerings, hiring, technology enablement and international expansion


Louisville, Colo.Sept. 16, 2015 – Coalfire, a leader in cybersecurity risk management and compliance services, today announced that it has received a strategic investment from The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG) and The Chertoff Group. With its new investment partners and existing investment partner, Baird Capital, Coalfire is well-positioned to double its market share globally by 2017 through the growth of its cyber risk advisory, compliance assessment, technical testing and software services. The investment is being directed to rapidly expand its market presence domestically and internationally, recruit top talent and enhance its Labs services and software platform.
 
According to recent industry and company analysis, nearly 80 percent of Chief Information Security Officers report having suffered an attack in the last 12 months. Threats come from states and difficult-to-counter actors, and they require development of an effective strategy and support system to meet the current and emerging digital threats to protect corporate assets.
