Coalfire® Completes FedRAMP® Assessment for VMware Airwatch
U.S. Census Bureau grants ATO for leading enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution
WESTMINSTER, CO – November 3, 2016 – Coalfire has announced today that it has completed the independent assessment of the VMware AirWatch enterprise mobility management solution in the cloud under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). FedRAMP is a U.S. government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. VMware AirWatch received their Authority to Operate (ATO) from the U.S. Census Bureau.
Acting as the third party assessment organization (3PAO) for VMware AirWatch, Coalfire validated that their EMM solution met the requirements outlined by FedRAMP’s security requirements for moderate impact level systems. More information on the VMware AirWatch blog.
“Coalfire is pleased to partner with VMware AirWatch as their FedRAMP 3PAO for their enterprise mobility management solution. The partnership provided great opportunities for VMware AirWatch to collaborate on the best path for securing mobile device endpoints that meet the Federal Government’s security standard,” said Nick Son, VP Public Sector and Cyber Risk at Coalfire.
Cloud service providers preparing for the FedRAMP assessment process with another 3PAO or considering FedRAMP should contact Coalfire to provide an independent review of their readiness or progress towards FedRAMP.
