Coalfire Demos Modular Post-Exploitation Tool at Black Hat Asia

March 1, 2018

Westminster, CO – March 1, 2018 –Coalfire, a trusted provider of independent, comprehensive cybersecurity advisory services, announced that it will be presenting at Black Hat Asia in Singapore on March 22nd.  Coalfire Security Consultant Marcello Salvati will present a demonstration of his “CrackMapExec” (CME) V4.0 tool.

CME is a modular post-exploitation tool written in Python that helps automate assessing the security of large Active Directory networks. Built with stealth in mind, CME follows the concept of "Living off the Land,” or abusing built-in Active Directory features and protocols to achieve its functionality and allow it to evade most endpoint solutions.

“I’m humbled by the very positive feedback and adoption CME has gotten from the security community,” said Salvati. “If you want to see and discuss the latest and greatest Active Directory attacks and techniques, you should come to this presentation.”

Black Hat Asia attendees who want to learn more about CME can join Salvati on Thursday, March 22 from 2:00 to 3:50 PM and Friday, March 23 from 10:00 to 11:40 AM in the Business Hall of the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Salvati will be an Arsenal presenter, providing his demonstration in an open and interactive environment.
