Coalfire Appoints Joe Tinucci as Senior Director of Enterprise Risk and Compliance

October 13, 2015

Westminster, Colo. – Oct. 13, 2015 – Coalfire, a leader in cyber security risk management and compliance services, today announced that Joe Tinucci has joined the company’s leadership team as the senior director of its enterprise risk and compliance platform. In this role, he will manage the company’s State, Local and Education (SLED) delivery capacity.

Tinucci brings more than 20 years of experience in payments and security, consulting, treasury management and teaching.  He joins Coalfire from the University of Colorado where he was the assistant treasurer for nearly 15 years. Prior to that, Tinucci was an associate professor at the University of Denver for four years, and the president of Tinucci and Associates, an electronic payment, treasury management and payment risk education and consulting firm, for more than five years. He also served as the executive director of the Rocky Mountain ACH Association, and president and CEO of Northwest United Federal Credit Union. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Colorado State University.

“Joe is extremely qualified to support our government and education clients because of his deep understanding of the unique issues they face in having decentralized organizational structures,” said Dirk Anderson, vice president of threat intelligence for Coalfire. “He understands the intricacies of how all the parts work together and can address the challenges therein.”

“I look forward helping governments and higher education entities address their risks and security needs,” said Tinucci. “These are complex organizations with limited resources; my hope is to provide them with the information and education to address and manage their security risks so they can concentrate on their primary mission of serving the public and their students.”
