DivisionHex Deployed at Black Hat - Redefining the Perimeter

At Black Hat, Coalfire pulled back the curtain on DivisionHex – an elite team of hackers, defenders, and threat hunters. Built to test limits, break systems (before attackers do), and challenge assumptions, DivisionHex is engineered for life beyond compliance.
This team doesn’t just secure environments. They strike first.
They fear no future.
DivisionHex Has Entered the Chat
Coalfire’s cyber crew crashed onto the Black Hat scene at a Happy Hour at ORLA on Tuesday night, hosted by Charles Henderson, EVP of DivisionHex.
The place was packed to capacity with cybersecurity legends, hackers, researchers, and operators enjoying killer conversation and a shared vision for the future of cybersecurity. (Not everyone was able to get in - so make note to grab a spot early next year!)
The launch of DivisionHex signifies the formation of a mission-driven unit that’s field-tested, threat-informed, and built to scale with the speed of real-world attacks.

From the NOC to the Newsroom: All Eyes were on DivisionHex
DivisionHex dominated the scene at Black Hat, and the industry took notice.
Inside the NOC
Coalfire’s Grifter (Neil Wyler) and Bart Stump were once again behind the controls of Black Hat’s infamous Network Operations Center. From laying cable at 3 a.m. to defending live-fire networks, they kept the most high-pressure environment in cybersecurity running without a hitch.
