Coalfire’s Dan Fritsche Named Vice Chair of ETA’s Risk, Fraud & Security Council

Council Taps Fritsche’s Leadership and Expertise With Security in Payments Industry

Westminster, CO – April 6, 2016 – Coalfire, a leader in cybersecurity risk management and compliance services, today announced that Dan Fritsche, vice president of solution architecture, was selected by the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) as the Vice Chair of the ETA Risk, Fraud & Security Council for 2016. Through his work at Coalfire, Fritsche is responsible for overseeing application security, virtualization and cloud technologies, healthcare solutions, software development (SDLC) training, mobile, EMV, point-to-point encryption (P2PE) and many other emerging technologies that cross various industries.

ETA is a hub of the payments technology industry with 18 committees and councils. Within these larger entities, smaller working groups are often established to deal with specific matters and target the development of content, or a formal response to an industry challenge or opportunity. In recent years, as the payments industry has evolved, ETA has proactively established new committees to engage industry entrants, and constantly looks for new market and partnership opportunities for members.

With a wide range of experience in the network security space, Fritsche works with various large payment technology providers and merchants to help ensure their software and security solutions are compliant with various standards along with PA-DSS and P2PE requirements.
