This workshop covers the roles of key players such as federal agencies, cloud service providers (CSPs), third-party assessment organizations (3PAOs), the FedRAMP Program Management Office (PMO), and the FedRAMP Board. It also details the path to FedRAMP Authority to Operate (ATO), and discusses the importance of continuous monitoring post-authorization, highlighting regular reporting, vulnerability scanning, and adherence to NIST controls to ensure ongoing compliance and security of cloud services handling federal data.

Karen Laughton is Executive Vice President of Cyber Advisory Services. Karen has compliance experience across the public and private sector, including within financial services, healthcare, and international markets. Karen leads a team of dedicated cybersecurity professionals strive to improve the overall security posture of clients and navigate compliance with various standards such as FedRAMP, FISMA, Department of Defense (DoD) Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG), NIST 800-171/CMMC, NIST CSF, HITRUST, ISO, SOC, and PCI.
