Coalfire® Integrates Its PASS Methodology With HITRUST CSF Certification Methodology
Methodology integration helps to streamline and accelerate the certification process
Louisville, Colo. – September 29,2015 – Coalfire, the global technology leader in cyber risk management and compliance services, today announced it has integrated its proven PASS methodology with the HITRUST CSF Certification methodology. In addition, Coalfire launched its FastTrack Toolkit to help healthcare organizations jumpstart the certification process. Coalfire was one of the first CSF Assessor organizations and has been performing HITRUST CSF assessments for many years, supported by an extensive cyber risk and compliance practice.
Coalfire’s PASS methodology is a proven approach to streamline certification for several compliance requirements. PASS has been successfully implemented across thousands of organizations that need HIPAA, PCI, GLBA, ISO and SOC 2 compliance.
With many healthcare organizations and more than 7,500 healthcare business associates gearing up to become HITRUST CSF certified or obtaining a SOC 2 leveraging the HITRUST CSF in the coming months, integrating the PASS methodology with the HITRUST CSF certification methodology will help ensure a smooth process from start to finish.
“As an experienced HITRUST CSF Assessor firm, we have learned how to align our PASS methodology with the HITRUST CSF certification program to better manage the assessment and certification process,” said Andrew Hicks, Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice Director at Coalfire. “The Coalfire PASS methodology embraces the certification requirements and protocols defined by HITRUST while formalizing the process to secure a well-executed project. In the end, this allows healthcare organizations to move through the HITRUST CSF certification process quickly and efficiently.”
To help organizations that are new to the HITRUST CSF certification process, Coalfire’s FastTrack Toolkit can accelerate the assessment and certification process by helping organizations develop, organize and mature their IT security program in preparation for HITRUST CSF certification. “The toolkit includes policies, procedures, forms, and templates that will help organizations define, implement and manage their IT security program, which allows them to hit the ground running,” added Hicks.
To learn more about the HITRUST CSF certification process, Coalfire is hosting a webinar on September 30th at 2pm EDT – “Jumpstart HITRUST CSF Certification with a Proven Methodology.” Details and registration for the live event can be found here.
