Cyber Risk Leader Selected to Train the Next Generation of Talent at the World’s Largest Info Security Conference

Westminster, CO – July 11, 2017 – Coalfire, a leading provider of independent, comprehensive cybersecurity advisory services, today announced it has been selected to conduct two training courses covering penetration testing for info security professionals at Black Hat USA 2017, the world’s largest info security conference. For the sixth consecutive year, Coalfire will teach participants the tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) that successful penetration testers use to provide comprehensive and efficient security assessments in a variety of enterprise environments.

Building on the dynamic training program conducted at Black Hat USA 2016, this year Coalfire is offering an updated course with enhanced focus on the Windows Enterprise platform and social engineering techniques along with the traditional emphasis on Linux. Through demonstrations of commercial and open-source tools used to identify attack vectors and infiltrate enterprise environments, security professionals will learn how to collaboratively conduct penetration tests efficiently and effectively against a variety of target environments. In Coalfire’s fully operational lab environment, participants will also gain hands-on experience in overcoming obstacles, practicing modern attack techniques and learning how to use advanced tactics to force-multiply penetration tests.

“We are excited to host this Black Hat session for the sixth consecutive year to help train the next generation of experts,” said Mike Weber, Vice President, Coalfire Labs. “The demand for security professionals continues to grow—and as a leader in cybersecurity risk management services, Coalfire is committed to sharing our knowledge, expertise and tools to cultivate new industry talent, with the overall goal of making the cyber landscape safer.”

Coalfire’s team of experts will conduct the two-day training sessions on July 22-23 and July 24-25 at Black Hat USA 2017, which will be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Additionally, Coalfire will be exhibiting at booth 1471 to discuss best practices for improving cybersecurity, technical testing, risk management and compliance.
